Badminton Competition

John Armstrong and Myself will shortly be organising a Badminton competition. All members of any age or ability will be eligible to enter. The format will be on a league basis and will be played as doubles. Once all the names are in John, as the most honest man in the club will seperate all the participants into 2 pots. the first pot will consist of people who have already shown some ability on the Badminton court, the second pot will contain people of lesser ability or novices. From there, a Badminton world cup draw will take place pairing an able player with a novice. The league will then begin. Each pairing will play all the other pairings twice, best of 3 games will decide the winner. All scores must be forwared to John and myself, including points scored to keep the league standings up to date. We ask that each time a league game is played that each player contributes £1 which will go toward the final prize fund. This league does not take the place of any other Badminton arrangements and it will be up to yourselves to sort the league matches.

Christmas Do in support of St Richards Hospice- November 28th

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen demand, we have only been allocated 30 places for this event. At the time of going to press 24 have been sold. As well as an opportunity to go and have a good evening with our partners it also gives us a chance to support another local charity. Gentlemen do not worry though, a men only evening before christmas is in the pipeline and details will be forthcoming shortly.

The Pogues in Concert - Wednesday 16th December

Last year this event was attended by the gig club of Droitwich Vets. We attended purely to see if this would be a suitable venue and recital for the gentry of our club. What we witnessed was a near riot attended by drunken louts losing shoes and nearly their life. The cause of this hysteria was not the band but the Christmas Cracker and many other liquids being served up in the local hostelries to Clive, Mick and Wally. In fact, we had a fantastic night (well day actually). The music, venue and drinking was excellent. if you want to have a good night out then you're welcome to join us, clive has the ticket details i'm sure he will help you out. Be warned though, it's not for the faint hearted!!!!
